The Story Behind the Album

After delivering Christian leaflets in the area, Angela Caley, Youth Work Co-ordinator at The Salvation Army's Bradford Holmewood Corps, felt the medium of music would be a more effective way of communicating the gospel to local young people.

Angela says, "Self-esteem is so low among many people in society today that we wanted the album to express to non-Christians how precious they are to God, and that no matter what they've done or what they've been through, God can be their hope."

The songs on the album include some well-known hits such as 'You've got a Friend', 'True Colours' and 'Shackles (Praise You)' as well as some original material written especially for the album. The song 'Cherished', was penned by a teenager from Holmewood where Angela worked and is a beautiful yet honest song, describing how the writer just wanted to be loved. 'Precious' was written as a response to the teenager to let her, and many others like her, know that she is highly valued by God.

The album has been available from early February 07 and can be ordered online from this site.
