Report for Love so Amazing 2
'How great is our God!' That was the resounding message coming from St George's Hall on Tuesday 5th December! Once again churches from across Bradford and wider a field came together to worship and praise the name of Jesus. Over 700 people joined together for a fantastic night of celebration.
The evening, titled, 'Let The Lord Be Magnified' was led by Steve and Velveta Thompson (of Beracah Music International) and featured the 100-strong 'Love so Amazing' mass choir, made up of members from 35 churches across the city. The evening also celebrated other forms of worship, including dance, and focussed on our Great God, giving him the glory for all he has done in our lives.
The evening was a celebration not only of God's great mercy, but also the unity that exists within Bradford and West Yorkshire. The diversity of the Choir members alone reflected how, although we are all different, these differences pail into insignificance when Jesus is put at the centre. This is such a wonderful truth and one which is to be celebrated!
The evening also saw the Urban Colours youth choir perform in their home town for the first time. The choir, made up of 30 young people aged 9-18 from across Bradford, once again reflected the diversity and talent within Bradford and the surrounding area. The choir performed three songs which feature on their forthcoming album 'Urban Colours'. The energy of this group of young people was inspiring and proof that God is indeed at work in the lives of young people in Bradford.
It is certain that when Christians join together to glorify the name of Jesus it not only blesses God, but his people as well. We believe that as we touched God's heart in worship that evening, he will indeed change us, and the city in which we live.
