Congress 2003 Boston, USA [ 23 - 25 January 2003 ]
In January, 2003, Steve & Vel travelled to a conference in Boston, USA - Congress 2003.
Congress 2003 was an outstanding conference with some excellent teaching sessions as well as catching up with some old friends. Some of the speakers included Ravi Zacharias, Gordon McDonald, Jim Cymbala, Bill Hybels, Ed Silvoso and may other awesome men of God. They all seem to be carrying similar words to the general church.
Steve also played for Paul Baloche - an Integrity worship leader. It was good playing with some of his friends again. This was quite an experience having worked with Paul for the first time. They were able to bring back some great songs to their local church, El-Shaddai International Christian Centre. Paul and Rita Baloche have written great songs such as 'Open The eyes of My Heart', 'Above all' and 'Rock of Ages'
"It was very special to catch up with one of our good friends, Bishop Joseph Garlington (also a guest speaker) as it's been a while since we last spoke (we have been invited to spend a week with him in Pittsburgh sometime - we will see). His church is doing really well - about 2000 members. It was such a laugh finding out that his music Director is one of our good friends.
